Dr. Longmuir is leading the Take TIME project to encourage healthy lifestyles among young children in Uxbridge. She has a background in physical education and recreation and personal experience in promoting healthy lifestyles.
Ms. Amanda Ferraro Manager of Recreation and Culture

Ms. Ferraro works for the Township of Uxbridge and is very passionate about youth fitness. Amanda is involved in many community events and is happy to be host for this worthwhile project.
Ms. Lori Martin
Public Health Nurse
Durham Region Health Department
Ms. Martin works in the Chronic Disease Prevention Program with a focus on the promotion of healthy eating. She has worked on such innovative projects as the Creating Healthy Environments for Youth Project of Durham Lives!(CHEY) as well as Racing Against Drugs Durham, as well as others, during her 25 years practising public health in Durham Region.
Ms. Ingrid Svelnis
Chief Administrative Officer
Township of Uxbridge
Ms. Svelnis is the CAO for the Township of Uxbridge and former Director of Parks, Recreation and Culture. She has worked in the recreation field for the past 25 years in various aspects.
Dr. McCrindle specializes in the treatment of children who are overweight or have high cholesterol. His research programme, the Cardiovascular Clinical Research Unit, conducts large studies and clinical trials related to childhood obesity prevention and treatment.
Mr. Tyler Moon

Mr. Moon has a vast understanding of how to engage and communicate effectively with communities. Tyler has a Masters of Health Studies Leadership from Athabasca University. His combined knowledge of community services and integrated health promotion has prepared him to work collaboratively as an effective leader.
Dr. Art Salmon
Ontario Ministry of Health Promotion
Dr. Art Salmon is a senior policy analyst in the Ontario Ministry of Health Promotion and Sport. He has an undergraduate degree in physical education, a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology and a Doctorate in Health Promotion and Exercise Science. Prior to joining the Ontario Government he was the National Director of ParticipACTION and has taught in the School of Kinesiology and Health Sciences at York University.
